Fondue World Championship

The origins of the Fondue World Cup

Sharing a good glass of wine is a moment of friendship, sharing, joy of being and good mood. What can be add to this ? A fondue of course ! But not just any. The best!

That’s how the Fondue World Cup was born at a meeting of members of the Groupement des Vignerons de Tartegnin. An original competition, which takes place every two years, and which sees professional and amateur contenders competing to make the best fondue in the world!

The meeting of traditional flavours

The competition takes part every two years, in the small Swiss village of Tartegnin. A one of a kind event that will eventually yield the world’s fondue champion !

Open to all, the competition allows participants to flaunt their culinary skills to the public in the apposite atmosphere of the Swiss mountains. Alongside the main competition, visitors can enjoy local entertainment and participate in workshops honoring local flavours and traditions. The competition is family friendly and children are welcome to come or even compete if they like.
